Belgrade Cybertruck Heroes (part 2)
Belgrade bloomed under the spring sun. Birds chirped on the Danube quay, and people strolled along the waterfront, soaking in that “April in Belgrade” feeling Čola sang about. Marko and Lazar, our silver Cybertruck heroes, had no time for strolling. The past two months had been a whirlwind. Thanks to the Zoverp platform and their fleet of Cybertrucks, their business had exploded. Lejla tirelessly promoted them on social media, and their deliveries became synonymous with speed, fun, and of course, those awesome Cybertrucks.
But the adventurous spirit of Marko and Lazar pushed them further. “What do you say, Lazar,” Marko said, sipping from big cup of coffee in front of his Cybertruck, “how about we go on a world tour? With the Cybertruck, of course, and Zoverp as our partner?”
Lazar’s eyes widened like the dots on a filled basketball net. “World tour? You’re crazy!”
“Crazy in a brilliant way!” Marko countered, already searching his phone for routes to Budapest. “Imagine, Lazar, deliveries across different cities, from New York to Tokyo! Lejla would follow us online, filming adventures, promoting us… We’d be the first Cybertruck delivery guys to circle the globe!”
Lazar was still skeptical, but Marko had already made a plan. Lejla was ecstatic. “My Cybertruck Heroes on a world tour? That’ll break the internet!” she promised, already brainstorming the first hashtags.
And so it began. First stop: Budapest. They decided to head there via Novi Sad and Subotica, enjoying the beauty of Vojvodina. Novi Sad welcomed them with open arms and even more open hearts. The Danube bank was overflowing with charm, and the Petrovaradin Fortress, with its mighty ramparts and sweeping views of the city, left them speechless.
“You know,” Marko said to Lazar as they strolled the fortress, “this is actually the largest fortress in Europe with ramparts longer than 7 kilometers. We could have a race with the Cybertruck around it!”
Lazar just shrugged and shook his head. He knew he had to adapt to every one of Marko’s ideas. Fortunately, the fortress was for pedestrians only, so the Cybertruck race was off.
But adventure found them anyway. As they posed for pictures in front of the famous Clock Tower, which, with its astronomical clock, displayed the exact time (which was, of course, incredibly important to them), they noticed a group of tourists looking flustered and desperate. It seemed the sky had fallen down to their heads.
“What’s happening?” Marko asked them, approaching with a friendly smile.
“We lost our passports!” a young woman from the group whimpered. “We don’t know how we’ll get back home to Berlin!”
Marko and Lazar exchanged glances. They gestured towards their Cybertruck. “Don’t worry, we’ll give you a ride! We are going straight to Belgrade, German embassy and I believe they will find some solution”
And so, our heroes unexpectedly became taxi drivers for lost tourists. The ride back to Belgrade was an opportunity to show them the beauty of Novi Sad and regale them with tales of the city. The tourists were thrilled, and Lejla had already posted a video titled “Belgrade Heroes Save the Day (and Get You Home Safe!)” which was blowing up online.
Subotica, their next stop, greeted them with a vibrant energy. The colorful facades of the Palic Town Hall and the Hungarian Art Nouveau architecture transported them to a different era. Their destination for the night was Palić, a popular resort town known for its healing lake and sandy beach.
Before checking into their hotel, they decided to take a quick peek at the lake. The setting sun cast a golden glow over the water, and the sound of laughter filled the air. Marko, ever the showman, decided to film a quick greeting for Lejla’s followers.
“Greetings from sunny Palić, friends!” he boomed into his phone, holding it aloft. “We’re about to check into our hotel and then…”
Suddenly, a voice interrupted him. A stern-looking woman in a crisp police uniform stood behind them. “Excuse me, gentlemen,” she said, her voice laced with authority. “You cannot film here without a permit.”
Marko, caught off guard, stammered an apology. Lazar, ever the diplomat, stepped in. “We’re so sorry, ma’am. We didn’t know. We’re just visiting from Belgrade and wanted to share the beauty of Palić with our followers online.”
The woman softened slightly. “Well, it is a beautiful place,” she conceded. “But the rules are the rules. Perhaps you could film from outside the perimeter?”
Disappointed but understanding, Marko and Lazar thanked her and retreated. As they walked away, Marko grumbled, “Well, that was an anticlimactic ending to a perfect Palić moment.”
Lazar chuckled. “Don’t worry, we’ll get some amazing footage tomorrow. Besides, who knows what adventures await us in the hotel?”
Little did they know, their hunch was right. As they entered the lobby, a group of boisterous businessmen were arguing with the receptionist. It turned out their transport to Budapest had been cancelled, and the hotel was already almost completely booked.
Marko, ever the opportunist, saw a golden opportunity. He approached the group, a wide grin on his face. “Excuse me, gentlemen,” he said politely. “Did I hear you say you need a ride to Budapest?”
The businessmen, weary and frustrated, looked at him with suspicion. “And who might you be?” one of them asked gruffly.
“Marko,” he replied, extending his hand. “And this is Lazar. We’re from Belgrade, and we happen to have a rather unique mode of transportation – a fleet of Cybertrucks.”
The businessmen’s eyes widened. Intrigued by the offer and the prospect of a comfortable ride, they huddled together for a quick discussion. A moment later, they turned back to Marko, a smile replacing their earlier frown.
“Well, Mr. Marko,” the lead businessman said, shaking his hand firmly. “We might just take you up on that offer.”
And so, what started as a relaxing evening in Palić turned into an unexpected business venture. Marko and Lazar spent the night regaling the businessmen with stories of their world adventures, but now already happy, very happy with a deal to transport them to Budapest in style – Cybertruck style.
The next morning, under a clear blue sky, Marko and Lazar loaded the businessmen’s luggage into their Cybertrucks. Lejla, alerted by Marko’s late-night message, had already whipped up a social media frenzy with the hashtag #CybertruckTaxi. As they pulled away from the hotel, honking the Cybertruck’s futuristic horn, they knew this was just the beginning of their grand world tour. Budapest awaited, and with it, a new chapter in their journey as the Belgrade Cybertruck Heroes.
